Digital Marketing Services
The internet is a powerful tool for businesses to build their brand, reputation and deliver great customer experiences, however it can be a minefield when it comes to what will actually work for your business, this is an area where one size definitely does not fit all (although most businesses will benefit from some standard actions).
Gone are the days when you could throw up a website, write a few articles and expect people to automatically be able to find you and then buy. With thousands of new websites popping up every day and everyone competing for the attention of prospects, you have to have a strategy when it comes to digital marketing.
Not only that but you also have to use all the tools at your disposal; make use of the right social media sites, identify and target potential customers at the right time, capture their details and communicate with them to build trust, and ultimately convert them into paying customers.
There are a lot of pieces that need putting together and that’s without even mentioning pixels, list segmentation, automation and re-targeting, as well as Search Engine Optimisation, all of which can make your life easier when it comes to finding, communicating with, and converting prospects into customers.
User/Customer Experience Design
Customers are the lifeblood of all businesses, so understanding how they behave is critical to ensuring that you are providing them with the products and services that they need, instead of giving them what you think they want.
It’s important to consider how people are going to interact with your products, why they are in the market for it in the first place and what they expect from it (from their perspective). Armed with this knowledge you will be able to tailor your solutions to the customer and concentrate on developing the right solutions for the market.
So many businesses make the mistake of not talking to their customers and understanding their needs or how they will use/interact with the product(s) in question. You’d be surprised as to how useful these insights can be for making decisions about what to invest in and what is the most helpful thing to provide to customers.
Additionally, if you are developing a digital solution (software, e-commerce website or app etc) then taking the time to test your designs with customers will be massively beneficial. It’s an amazing process to put something in front of a customer that makes perfect sense to the developers and watch them (sometimes) struggle to complete their tasks.
WordPress Development & Hosting
I can’t recommend WordPress enough when it comes to developing client websites, it’s hugely popular, constantly evolving, incredibly extendable, easy to work with and, from a core perspective, free.
While it originally started with a blogging focus it is in fact an incredibly powerful CMS that can be tailored to meet any number of specific needs. Granted if you really want to get the most out of it you need to have some technical knowledge (and be somewhat of an expert Googler), but it’s hard to beat for overall ease of use.
I’ve developed a range of websites using WordPress, some of them still around while others have long since disappeared, but overall I find it one of the fastest ways to get a site up and running from scratch. Couple its core capabilities with the wide range of themes, page builders and plugins and you’re onto a winner.
Alongside WordPress is the need for fast, secure web hosting, and while this is not a major focus for SLHE I am able to add some high performance hosting solutions for clients who decide they’d like to keep all their website eggs in one basket. I can also manage your domain name to ensure it remains active and sort out email access too.
There is no doubt that technology can have a huge impact on any business.
Unfortunately there are so many solutions available that it can be hard to identify exactly what you need to deliver for yourself, staff and customers. The fact is, when you talk to most suppliers about hardware, software or any technology that you might need, they are generally aiming to sell you the product they offer, it is highly unlikely they will recommend anything they can’t sell you.
And that’s where my extensive background in the world of technology and digital solutions can help, along with my general interest in all things technical and ability to quickly understand business needs (the real ones, not the ones that happen to fit my checklist of things I can sell you).
I will conduct a full review of your current situation, the goals you have and understand exactly what it is that you are trying to achieve. Following this I will research the best solutions on your behalf and provide a comprehensive, unbiased recommendation about what I think is best for your business… no strings attached.
While the areas above are the main areas of focus, I can also assist with:
- Coaching and mentoring
- General advisory services (an ear to bend)
- Competitor review
- Supplier selection and review
